The Dey house is a two-story Italianate house in clapboard with end gables. The house is extended one more bay to the south, as if this portion were to have had a tower. The front entrance porch exhibits elegant pairs of columns mounted on a high base, and at the entrance itself the porch is pulled forward. The windows for the principal rooms on the first floor are carried down to the floor level. To the left side of the house are two false shuttered windows, one above the other. A flat deck surrounded by a cast-iron railing surmounts the ridge of the low-pitched roof.
