Though modest in size, the Graf house attracts one's attention immediately because of the strong three-dimensional quality of its ornamentation. The gable end of this Italianate house faces the street and has a wide entablature/cornice accompanied by pairs of thick brackets. The sides of the entablature curve at the eave ends to receive the roof return. In the center, connected to the entablature, is an overscaled oval window with an extended horizontal sill. A piered entrance porch runs across the ground floor; on the second floor, the window over the door has been doubled in size to match the double door and transom below. Conrad Graf, who had the house built, was a partner in the Shultze and Graf Brewery.
