Commercial Building (William Pitt Hotel)

This three-story Colonial Revival brick building is Chatham's only surviving hotel building of several that were built in the prosperous twenties. The narrow rectangular building is only three bays wide on its Main Street facade but extends deep into its lot. The vaulted and recessed arched entrance is flanked by windows framed with Doric columns, and brick pilasters mark the corners of the building and define the bays on the upper stories.
