Across the street from the courthouse area, this building has undergone several serious modifications. The two-story three-bay frame building has a bay window where the entrance once was. Now the building is entered through its one-story wing. Sheltering this entrance is a one-bay portico with two flights of stairs leading to it, a weak reflection of the courthouse's impressive portico and double stairway. An exemplar of adaptive reuse, the building has served as a store, an inn, a post office, and a residence.
