Situated in an oak grove, this stone church has a tall square bell tower in the center of the facade with flanking shed-roofed extensions. Rebuilt after a fire in 1947, the church is in the austere version of Gothic popularized by Ralph Adams Cram earlier in the twentieth century. The church complex includes the c. 1910 frame and stucco rectory and the c. 1852 Greek Revival Bishop's Chapel. Nearby, at 1040 Bishop Meade Road the antique store was originally a public school built in 1881 with wings added in the mid-twentieth century. The square louvered belfry is capped by a pyramidal hipped roof with flared eaves.
