Jules K. Hexter and his wife—the daughter of one of Victoria's pioneer bankers, Alsatian Jewish immigrant Abraham Levi—lived in this house adjacent to the no longer extant house of Mrs. Hexter's brother, Godcheaux A. Levi, and a block from her parents' house at 403 N. Main Street. What is extraordinary about this house is its dense, Néo-Grec detailing, with banded fluted piers capped by circular medallions framing the windows.
