The most forceful Victorian storefront in downtown Victoria is the two-story, red pressed-brick and white sandstone building constructed for rancher Thomas M. O'Connor and lawyer David C. Proctor. The projecting, second-story corner tourelle, with its carved base and conical metal cap, punctuates the building's street corner. The building was rehabilitated by the Victoria Junior League in 1975.

A block north at 302 N. Main Street is the Victoria Public Library (1975) by Christopher Di Stefano and Associates of Houston, Victoria's most architecturally distinguished public building of the late twentieth century.
