The first of the descendant houses to be built on the Watson estate after the Reverend Elisha Watson's death in 1900 was this spreading shingle house, distantly visible from the road. A wedding present to Watson's granddaughter, Mary, it overlooks a millpond Watson had excavated in 1857 for a stone gristmill (later demolished). Nearby is a wood-shingled octagonal tower with a weathervane.
