c. 1740. 36 Walnut St. (at Second St.)

This one-and-one-half-story central-chimney house with a steep gambrel to the front and a saltbox behind belonged to an important pewterer of the colonial period—confirmation, like the Goddard House, of the middle-class status of the expert craftsman in colonial society, already observed in the Goddard House.
