The architectural history of this two-and-one-half-story shingle house very nearly duplicates that of the Wilbour House. In like manner, William Pabodie built the east end of the house, up to what was then an end chimney; Pardon Gray purchased the house two generations later and added the west half. A late-nineteenth-century owner added the two-story bay window, designed by artist-craftsman Sydney Burleigh, on the west end—an early example of Little Compton summer resident's alteration to make a hard-bitten farm building cozy and colorful.
