George Kelly, a horticulturist who did much statewide to promote use of native plants in landscaping, worked with the architect on this stone and stucco Southwestern Style home. The U-shaped structure is wrapped around a south-facing courtyard and walled garden. Despite additions, most noticeably a second story on the east wing, it retains much of its original Pueblo Revival charm. The 100-acre site contains both native and introduced plants, not to mention Anasazi ruins, at what is now a bed and breakfast inn and educational center.
