Marble's old high school, with its marble foundation and stout, square porch posts, is the largest building in town. The gabled entry porch of the building, topped by an open bell cupola, is echoed by the triangular dormer behind it. Bungalow and Craftsman elements are apparent in the two-story, side-gabled structure over a full basement on a U plan. Shiplap siding is decorated on the front with half timbering in the porch and dormer gable ends. The large windows, symmetrically arranged, have a nine-over-one double-hung sash configuration, with small, multipane units tucked under the eaves. The school is painted green and white, the Colorado Yule Marble Company colors, which are also appropriate for the woodsy setting.
