The first campus building has generally congenial additions made since the 1920s. The original hall, now the north wing, is a two-story pressed red brick Neoclassical building with a red sandstone ashlar ground floor and contrasting light sandstone trim. A prominent pedimented portico with Ionic columns commands the west facade, which overlooks both the campus and town.
