One of the town's oldest landmarks, this board-and-batten church overlooks Black Hawk from a prominent hillside perch. It has lost its steeple, but its windows with pedimented hoods and steeply pitched roof still point to heaven. It was sold to the schoolhouse next door for use as a gym in 1906, but was vacant after the school closed in 1960 until the 1990s, when it became Black Hawk town offices.
