Colonel and Mrs. F. E. Graydene-Smith patterned their turreted and towered thirteen-room mansion after the castles of her English homeland. Built of gray sandstone quarried by convict labor, it incorporates Neo-Romanesque elements such as thick, rough-faced stone block in the walls and round-arched doorways and windows. The
manor has been well maintained as a residence.
