Constructed along with its near-identical neighbor by the Home Building Company, this house illustrates the Victorian love of complexity within the compact form of a narrow yet detached town house. A prominent turret with a conical roof is balanced by an unusual diagonally projecting corner bay. Decorative scrollwork on the porches and strapwork at the cornice, which differ from the twin next door, provide exuberant texture to the otherwise simple wooden clapboard exterior. A dramatic rear addition accompanied an impressive restoration, both carried out by Bloomquist Construction.
