Akin to nearby Elyria School, this Beaux-Arts design is the last of Denver's eight Carnegie libraries, built for $16,500. The red stucco building with large, round-arched, fan-lighted windows once had a red tile roof, a fireplace, and murals by Albert Olsen portraying the adventures of Don Quixote. It was closed as a library in 1952 and converted to an art gallery.
