1890, James Murdoch. 1270 Poplar St. (southeast corner of E. 13th Ave.)

Rough-faced rhyolite walls pierced by lancet windows and a square corner tower with a tall, shingled steeple distinguish this church. Despite additions, St. Luke's, with its mini-buttresses, fine stonework, and stained glass windows, remains a countrified example of an English Gothic Revival chapel.
