1941, Voelcker and Dixon. 1411 9th St.

This symmetrical limestone-faced one-story Streamline Moderne building with rounded corners and a taller projecting entrance portico has the smooth surfaces and clean lines appropriate for a medical office. Constructed by physician George T. Singleton and three colleagues, it was the first purpose-built medical office outside downtown and the first built with air-conditioning.
