One of the more exotic designs of a fanciful architect, this two-story brick hall has a stone facade supposedly modeled after the Palazzo della Regione in Vicenza, Italy. Three large Gothic-arched openings at street level are topped by ogee-arched windows with basrelief terracotta spandrels and banding adorned by Colorado's state flower, the columbine. Exquisite details include the polished stone exterior, double-bracketed cornice, balconies, and cast iron lamps designed by the architect. When the larger Littleton Town Center (1976, Michael Barber) opened at 2255 West Berry Avenue, this treasure was recycled as the Town Hall Arts Center, providing performing arts and gallery space.
