Knob Hill has slightly larger houses than most of those in Ketchikan. They were built early in the twentieth century for Ketchikan's merchant class. The buildings range from a shingled bungalow to a Tudor-style house with sweeping roofline. Front Street ends in a stairway down to the commercial area.
