Near the dredge is a two-story, hip-roofed bunkhouse, constructed by the Fairbanks Exploration Company. Measuring 37 feet by 73 feet, the wood-framed structure was covered with corrugated metal, as were most of the FE Company's camp buildings. The first floor contained the kitchen and dining room, while the second floor had twelve bedrooms. The bunkhouse was moved to its present site in 1983 from its original location on the other side of Steese Highway. The adjacent smaller bunkhouse was also an FE Company structure, moved to this site more recently.
