This former Coca Cola bottling plant displays the features seen on the company’s buildings across the nation—the stone door frame, a horizontal stringcourse, a cornice, quoins, and, most importantly, stone plaques on two sides of the building featuring the Coca Cola name in its familiar script along with low-relief images of the equally recognizable bottle. The large, wide window located on the ground floor once allowed passers-by to view the mechanical process of filling, capping, and boxing the bottles. Modern technology and centralization processes have changed the packaging and distribution systems of this popular beverage. After Coca Cola ceased operations here, the City of Morrilton acquired the building, which now serves as the city hall.
