This Queen Anne house was designed by Hot Springs architect Horn for physician Omar Short. It is one of the few of Horn’s buildings to survive; many burned in the fire of 1913. Thomas Dodson bought the house in 1907. The two-and-a-half-story house’s picturesque massing is enhanced by a wraparound porch carried on paired columns, bay windows, and gables, and a circular corner tower with a conical roof rises above the main hipped roof.
