The picturesque composition of towers, turrets, and corbeled attic story denotes something of a fortress were it not for the gracious arcades of the ground level. The yellow brick patch on the north wall bears witness to the damage caused by the 1953 tornado. Opened in 1991, the museum chronicles the early years of the popular soft drink, which was first made in Waco in 1885 by pharmacist Charles Alder-ton at Morrison's Old Corner Drug and bottled in this building for many years. A period soda fountain dispenses drinks and ice cream.
