Set back some distance from Devine Road, the plan of the house, which is perhaps O'Neil Ford's most Miesian work, centers around a circular dining room that is counterbalanced by the circular swimming pool, with generous expanses of glass set alongside walls of local limestone. Ford's modernist inclinations at this time even included the design of a stainless steel bed for oilman Tom Slick.
