Built as apartments and renovated into condominiums, the Bushnell stands out in a neighborhood dominated by single-family houses. The picturesque massing of the structure is achieved through the placement of towers that divide the block into three bays and the inset arcaded and galleried porches. Spanish colonial detailing concentrated around the entrance and at the tower tops contrasts with the plain stucco walls. The south-side windows of the Bushnell offer residents some of the best views obtainable of the downtown area.
