A survivor of the 1893 fire that burned the western half of the block, the Sengelmann Brothers dance hall is a large two-story brick building with a limestone base and detailing and a cast-iron storefront. The ground floor was historically a saloon and local distributor for Anheuser-Busch beer. The dance hall on the second floor is an excellent example of this urban dance hall type. The hall reopened in 2009 following an extensive restoration that received an Honor Award from the National Trust for Historic Preservation in 2010.
