This exceptional, small T-plan house is built of large limestone blocks and has matching wooden porches on both sides of the house's projecting front. The main entrance is tucked into the angle of one of the two axes. A simple limestone-walled accessory building stands at the rear. In 1898 Christian Stehling purchased the Fredericksburg Electric Light Company.
