1870, Philip Zoeller and S. F. Stendeback; 1886 second-floor addition, Charles Buckel; 1909–1910 facade, Alfred Giles. Saunders St. between Blanco Rd. and San Antonio Ave.

The overall Italianate character of this small two-story building is most likely due to Alfred Giles, one of his last works in the Hill Country. The splayed semi-octagonal bays of the building's stone facade are joined by an arcaded porch. This is the second-oldest active county courthouse in the state, the first being the Cass County Courthouse.
