Shortly after building “Idle Hours” as his country house, banker and businessman Lem uel P. Ogden subdivided the property into the Ogden Addition. This brick Colonial Revival house is notable for its imposing scale and its setting on oak tree–lined Orange Street amid other impressive early-twentieth-century suburban houses.
