Like his tripartite commercial storefronts, Leffland's Colonial Revival houses are distinctive and were very popular with early twentieth-century elites in the Coastal Bend. The dazzlingly white house—set on a broad, flat, green lawn— embodies a number of the identifying attributes of Leffland's Colonial Revival houses. The grandly scaled pedimented portico projects forward of encircling galleries and the galleries' curved corners are a Leffland specialty that he repeated in Victoria and Refugio. The oval front door light and sidelights continue his curvilinear geometric theme.
