1900. South corner of South Main and Court sts.

This diminutive but brash white brick building has more “architecture” than most buildings twice its size. Each bay is centered by a large, arched window, while pilasters separating the bays terminate high above the roofline with bracketed capitals supporting globular finials. Above the angled corner entrance, a pediment contains a panel with Beverly Bank and 1900 inscribed in raised letters. Architectural selfconfidence notwithstanding, the Beverly Bank closed during the March 1933 bank holiday. The building now serves as a regional genealogical research center.
