Dr. Walter Miller's sophisticated Queen Anne house is a two-story, double-pile frame structure, clad in decorative wood shingles and weatherboards. The exterior is elaborated with a two-story round turret with a conical roof, a large second-story arched recess sheltering a triple window, and a wraparound porch with turned posts, spindle brackets, and a frieze. Turned blocks, the signature motif of local builder Wysong, decorate the porch balustrade and gable ends of the house.

At 211 Mill Lane, the Payne-Price House (c. 1875) exhibits many of the architectural characteristics for cottages promoted by Andrew Jackson Downing. The small house has twin front gables, board-and-batten sheathing, friezeboards, and bargeboards.
