c. 1808. 528 Great Rd.

The Richard Scott House is a Federal “half house” (three bays of an ideal five) with the door at one end and (rare in such a small house) double chimneys at the other. Next door is an interesting Greek Revival house at number 530, and immediately adjacent is one of the entrances to Lincoln Woods Park, among the major recreation areas in the state and part of a scheme for regional parks around Providence, it was developed from 1909 onward, at a time when the creation of regional systems of parks around major metropolitan areas was both popular and possible.
