An elegant and diminutive Greek essay, this is the cottage version of the large temples erected by Russell Warren on Hope Street (
BR8 and BR9). Its frontispiece is no timber sketch of a temple front, but a fully realized Doric portico, an archaeological rebuke to the freewheeling vagaries of Linden Place. Its owner, Byron Diman, was a prominent banker and real estate speculator.
