Cruciform in plan, this diminutive Carpenter Gothic frame church is a local landmark. According to legend, the bell in its tower announced the arrival of the stagecoach, while the number of pews in the remarkably well-preserved interior traditionally equaled the number of canal boats operating in Northumberland.
