1976, Kern Weber Murphy, with Herman Weber, project architect. 715 E. Main St.

Herman Weber of the Erie firm of Kern Weber Murphy created a modern design with shingleclad roof fins and streamlined tower for this church to symbolize the reforms taking place within the Roman Catholic Church in the 1960s. Its centralized plan reflects the liturgical guidelines of Vatican Council II of 1965 to unify the congregation in worship. One of these reforms recommended that Mass should be said while facing the congregation. Weber focused all the internal elements, including the beams and skylights, on the altar. On the exterior, a courtyard and fountain integrate the entrance with the parking lot.
