At the heart of this fifty-acre site is the nineteenth-century Maharg family farm and
BU13), east of the Conservancy, and had a special attachment to the farm. Her son donated the land to the Butler County Community College in 2001.
A large frame Pennsylvania bank barn remains on the complex, and is to be used along with the greenhouse, former chicken hatchery, and rental house as educational buildings for the Conservancy. The grounds will be used for hiking trails, environmental education, and event rentals.
