A sculptured facade of hammered and pressed galvanized steel manufactured to resemble stone by the Detroit Cornice and Slate Company graces the front of the company's own building. After exterior restoration and interior rehabilitation, the building held the offices of Kessler and Associates. Twenty-five years later Kessler expanded the addition on the north wall with the wraparound steel facade. AIA Michigan chose the firm for a 2001 design award, citing the juxtaposition of the sweeping new minimalist approach and the original handcrafted metal facade. Today, Flood's Bar and Grill occupies the ground floor and the Metro Times the second and third floors.
