A central castellated tower with battlements and buttressed with turrets dominates this four-and-a-half-story, red brick, institutional building lavishly trimmed with limestone. The building's Jacobean elements include symmetry, quoins, oriel windows, parapets, Tudor arches, and tracery. Built as the boarding school for boys, the hall was converted in the 1980s to luxury apartments for senior citizens.
