1886. 229 Stuart Ave.

The former Bartlett-Upjohn house exudes the picturesque charm of the Queen Anne. The large gabled and clapboarded building is dominated by a prominent dormered, spired, and angled corner tower and by delightful full-width porches with spindlework. It was acquired in 1907 by one of the founders of the Upjohn Company.
