This large, handsome, wood-frame Queen Anne house, with irregular massing and three levels of Eastlake spindlework porches, was built for attorney Frank D. Skeels (1846–1891) and his wife, Ella. It demonstrates the tendency toward greater elaboration in decorative work that was possible with the availability of machine tools.
