The Spanish Colonial Revival references of this local landmark may have been drawn from St. Joseph's Villa (see below) about a half mile north of the Copa. The Copa has been well maintained, and it is an attractive commercial building in an area where the life span of commercial architecture is usually limited to a few decades. Directly across the street is a small tourist court, a rare survivor among the diners, tourist courts, and other roadside attractions that once occupied this stretch of U.S. 1.
