1872, attrib. George Josselyn. Southwest corner of 4th St. S.W. and 3rd Ave. S.W.

A meandering Eastlake house is topped by a roof punctured by shed-roofed wall dormers, gables, and very tall chimneys. Yet the building seems to hug the ground because of its low-eaved roof and the horizontal band of fishscale shingles that runs along the facade, connecting the headers of the first-floor windows.
