1893–1895. 210 2nd St. N.E.

French Châteauesque in style, the library's dominant theme is the entrance tower that rises to three stories plus an attic. The tower houses the staircase, which is reflected on the side by the ascending group of narrow arched windows. The fenestration on the west side consists of large second-floor openings carried up to the base of the entablature and interspersed with small arched windows. Above the entrance is a sculpture of a woman reading, surrounded on each side by intertwined foliage.
