A robust Roman temple front, composed of six Corinthian columns, provides the entrance to this Beaux-Arts-style building. The internal circulation is organized around a central rotunda, lighted from above; another set of eight Corinthian columns encircles the second level of the rotunda. An addition was built to the east in 1979–1981. The visual language of the addition harks back to the classicized PWA Moderne of the 1930s with a row of vertical openings cut into the wall to suggest classical piers.
