The small 20 feet by 26 feet schoolhouse is credited with being the oldest brick schoolhouse still standing in the state. The building is the usual rectangular volume covered by a low-pitched gable roof. The interior has been restored and refurnished as in the period of the 1860s and 1870s. The school building is now a museum open to the public.
