The Richardsonian Romanesque, conveying a strong kinship to historic churches in southern France, is the style of this cathedral. The parapeted gable front contains a band of four elongated round-arched windows separated by pairs of columns; below the great entrance arch is a slightly projecting gabled porch. The corner tower with its entrances terminates in a steeply pitched hipped roof. The sanctuary has a barrel-roofed ceiling that has been elaborately painted. The Richardsonian Romanesque theme in rusticated stone masonry was continued in the adjacent rectory built in 1927.
