1895–1896, Josselyn and Taylor. North corner of 3rd Ave. and 3rd St. S.E.

The local firm of Josselyn and Taylor designed many buildings in downtown Cedar Rapids. There were once a number of Queen Anne and Richardsonian Romanesque buildings in the downtown, but now only a few remain. This bank building is a six-story rusticated stone Richardsonian Romanesque structure with a traditional bay tower at the corner. An open loggia occupies the top floor of the tower.
